Teriyaki Chicken Wings

  • 1 kg chicken wings
  • ¾ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsps dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger – grated fine
  • 3 garlic cloves


  1. Set the oven to 180C.
  2. Trim the chicken wings removing the tips and separating them at the joints. Spread the wings over a baking pan.
  3. Mince the garlic and place all the ingredients except the chicken wings into a pan and place the pan over medium heat and bring the ingredients to a boil stirring well to incorporate.
  4. Pour the marinade (soy sauce and garlic mixture) over the wings and place the wings in the oven to cook for approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours turning to ensure an even cook.
  5. Turn on the grill, and place the wings under the grill until they become crispy.
